INITIATIVE LIMITATION VIA
The Initiative Limitation VIA seeks three basic changes in how we vote on these matters:
- No initiative or bond issue dealing with essentially the same subject matter or condition can appear on the ballot for a repeat vote in less than 10 years.
- No two ballot measures, covering essentially the same substance and/or containing negative wording — where a “NO” vote indicates approval and a “YES” vote registers disapproval — will be permitted.
- No ballot measure to be certified for a vote unless 55% of the signatures on qualifying petitions are gathered by non-paid citizen-volunteers.
